 The area to the west of the runway is a residential airpark where homewoners taxi their planes on shared-use roads right into their garage attached to their homes! The neighborhood adopted a ‘Residential Through The Fence’ access policy that covers the ‘rules of the road’ for safe co-existence of ground vehicles and their aircraft including the neighborhood and the airport.

Because the runway to the airpark is gate-controlled you may be subject to the ‘Taxi of Shame’ behind the gate. Call the airport or your friends or relatives to gain access. This may curtail surprise visits.

There are over 100 homes and lots in this airpark neighborhood and they are included in the Airport Special District. These residents created a bond comprised of a special assessment property tax and is used  to manage the streets and pavement.

Their CC&R’s and they also have an Architectural Control Committee which is under the umbrella of the CCSD Cameron Park Community Services District.
