Sierra College Natural History Museum – SCNHM 

The Sierra College Natural History Museum in Rocklin, California, is an innovative center for STEM learning initiatives. Open to the public, the Museum offers a wide range of activities and classes for students. There is a docent-led science workshop for children, as well as hands-on activities, such as making science crafts and playing games. Visitors can also take part in science lectures, which are held in Sewell Hall and are led by STEM content experts.

 

The Museum’s October Free First Saturday featured a special exhibit on bats. The Museum will continue featuring nocturnal animals this fall. There will also be an Arctic Expedition in December. It will also seek limited external partnerships, including nonprofits. It will serve as a hub for interdisciplinary learning. The makerspace will be open to the public in fall 2021. The space will be fully equipped by spring 2022.
