Don't get hacked or save your Facebook page

This is what I’ve learned. How did ‘they’ get in even after the Facebook password was changed?

BINGO. Business Manager.

If you do not have Dual Factor Authentication on your Business Manager…. that is a back door. With no Dual Factor Authentication you will get an email somewhere and if you miss that, well, ‘they’ are in. Next thing is there will be a charge from Meta to your PayPal account or other Credit Card. Change those passwords too.

AND

Log Out of ALL devices.

Check the credit card in your Ads Manager – likely a stolen card. Delete it.

Immediately change your passwords, Facebook, credit cards, and report it to Facebook. See the link below.

You will have to be re-identified, but ok. And you will not be able to use Messenger to get the text they send you on mobile – use another app. Try and do this from Desktop as it is much better.

Check Users on your Pages. Delete unknowns.

Check people logged into your browser – dead giveaway. Desktop Profile image click >Settings and Privacy > Settings > Security and Login > Where you’re logged in
